My name is Ashokkumar Jain, and I am an abdominal solid organ transplant surgeon. I worked in Pittsburgh (UPMC) Transplant institute from 1989 to 2003 for the Starzl Transplantation Institute at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In Jan 2003 I moved to University of Rochester Medical Centre at the Strong memorial hospital as professor of surgery in division of organ transplantation. In year 2008 I started a new liver transplant program at Temple University hospital as a program director. Recently in June 2014 I moved to Hershey Medical Centre, Pennsylvania State University Hospital to reinforce the existing liver, kidney and pancreas transplant program (including live donor and kidney transplant). Besides participating in clinical and surgical transplants, I conduct research on all clinical aspects of transplantation and immunosuppressive agents.
